At the November 4 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board accepted the 2020 Town of Lyons Annual Budget. The approval comes after two public hearings and multiple review sessions. Review the 2020 Annual Budget here.

Leaf Collection

Saturday, Nov. 16 | Wastewater Treatment Plant

On Saturday, November 16, between 9 a.m. and noon, bring your leaf piles to the wastewater treatment plant (198 2nd Ave.) for free drop-off! The leaves collected will be responsibly composted at a commercial site.

This event is sponsored by the Sustainable Futures Commission.

Temporary Trail Closure

Eastern Corridor Trail

The Eastern Corridor Trail, between Black Bear Hole and McConnell Dr., will be closed for the next two weeks, as work takes place on a water line beneath the crusher fine path.

Planning and Community Development Commission Opening

The Town of Lyons is seeking an applicant to join the Planning and Community Development Commission (PCDC). The PCDC advises the Board of Trustees and makes decisions pertaining to land use, zoning, development, planning, and related matters.

Who: anyone 60+ needing help with a phone, tablet or PC
When: Sunday, Nov. 10, 1 to 3 p.m.
Where: Walt Self Center, 335 Railroad Ave (please park on street)
Bring: Your phone, tablet or PC and the manual if you have it.

USA Track & Field Junior Olympic State Championship

Saturday, November 9 | Bohn Park

The USA Track and Field Colorado Junior Olympic State Championship Meet will be held in Lyons at Bohn Park, on Saturday, November 9. The courses range from 1k to 5k, with similar routes as the high school cross country meets. Event planners expect four hundred (400) runners and their families to be in attendance.
