County-wide Fire Ban

As of 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, Boulder County Sheriff's Department has issued a county-wide fire ban. Open fires are prohibited. A fire weather watch has been issued by the National Weather Service.

Fire start at Peak to Peak Highway north of Nederland
Fire is currently at 100 acres, no containment. Mandatory evacuation order has been issued for Ridge Road east of the Peak to Peak Highway. Evacuation point is at the Nederland High School. Animals are being taken to the Boulder County Fairgrounds and Arapahoe Ranch.
