Paving and Street ImprovementsWork continues all week and into July Contractors for the Town will be mobilizing for 2023 street improvement projects on Town-managed streets for the next several weeks, weather permitting. There will be both chip seal work, as well as milling and overlay and patching work.
The contractor has posted NO PARKING and put out notices out for those streets and areas impacted. Please note that due to the complexities of milling, paving and chip sealing, no vehicles may be parked on any of the affected roads. Each area has received notification. Please be aware that if a vehicle or trailer is parked in a NO PARKING area for the project, it will be towed at the owners expense.
Streets that are impacted include:
Steamboat Valley Rd, Vasquez Road, Vasquez Court Eagle Valley Drive, Osprey Lane, Peregrine Lane, Falcon Lane Welch Drive, Welch Court, McConnell Drive (in front of the High School from Bohn Ct to 2nd Ave) Eagle Canyon Circle, Eagle Canyon Drive, Eagle Nest Lane
CRACK SEAL and CHIP SEAL OPERATIONS WILL TAKE PLACE THIS WEEK BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM NO PARKING on the roads that are signed as NO PARKING, or you will be towed.

Tubing Ban/ClosureSt Vrain Creek This is a reminder that the St Vrain Creek through Lyons remains closed for tubing. The tubing ban/closure will remain in effect until rescinded by the Sheriff, when water levels are deemed safe enough for floating.

Goat Mowers Return to LyonsTackling weed and fire mitigation organically! The goat mowers have returned to Lyons and will be up along Longs Peak Drive to help with weed mitigation efforts. The herd should be here for another couple of weeks helping by weeding, eating, repeating. Fun fact: Did you know goats will navigate even the most difficult terrain to consume any vegetation on wildfire-prone land?

Lyons Flyer adds a mid-day route Northbound and Southbound The Lyons Flyer provides FREE weekday transit service between the Town of Lyons and Boulder. From July 5 to August 31, 2023, Boulder County will add a midday round trip between Lyons and Boulder. The proposed service expansion will increase flexibility for passengers by making mid-day trips between Lyons and Boulder possible. The added times leave Boulder at noon, heading to Lyons and leaving Lyons at 12:50 pm, headed to Boulder. Don't forget that the service is free! No pass is required. View the schedule and learn more.
